meet our new friends

We’ve started work with the fabulous Sunderland ARC after beating off competition from six other North East Creative Agencies.

That made Paul A even more smiley than he normally is. And believe me, he’s smiley.

The Sunderland ARC brand uses dynamic shapes & vibrant colours to help represent the shift and change in Sunderland.

onebestway has rolled out this approach across:

  • A die cut brochure with slip cover
  • Adverts that use the ARC branding innovatively (curled edges revealing smiley people)
  • Billboards
  • A GIANT map that’s been brought inline with the brand feel & vision
  • A brochure cover that utilises areas of the map to create bold graphic elements, offset by vivid aerial photography

We’ve also extended the core brand to incorporate the tagline ‘this is…’. This is just the beginning, this is the city you love, this is for you and more.

We’re communicating clearly, with a consistent tone of voice and with genuine relevance to residents of and visitors to Sunderland.

And I never used to like the place, myself.

we did this...

Our clever design guy Alex has created a series of adverts for our friends over at www.lock-n-store.co.uk. These adverts increase awareness of their wonderful storage solutions to distinct target segments within a structured, 12 month campaign.

Lock-n-store wanted to avoid the use of the messages standard in the storage industry. We already know that they are safe, secure and easily accessible or else they wouldn’t be in business in the first place!

Our quirky concept focuses on people’s desire to hold on to objects that they love but that sometimes the other people in their life may not want to have around the house or office. Storage can help.

To achieve this we gathered up items that we love and commissioned photography in one of Lock-n-store’s lovely storage units. The concept shows a warmth and understanding which is not normally associated with the storage industry.

Emphatic even. And that’s a very long word for me.

and finally :)

Welcome James, Junior Designer.
After a month long placement we just couldn't let James go.
James has worked with us on a Christmas campaign for promoting localised shopping this Christmas in North Tyneside, is researching how to innovatively house a 300 page catalogue for Rourkes and is providing support on numerous projects within the Creative team.

Welcome Melissa, Project Manager.
Melissa’s appointment is a big step for onebestway and has brought immediate change. Melissa’s brilliant organisational skills mean that projects are moving faster and more efficiently than ever, and Senior Account Manager Mark T is left to focus on client marketing strategies. Melissa has lots of experience at a number of Agencies in London. So she does talk a bit funny I’m afraid.

More awards for onebestway – HOORAY!
onebestway is up for two awards in the FRESH Digital Awards.

Hello. Mike here.

I was recently asked to write an article with a Christmassy feel for a magazine.

Just 500 words or so and with a design and marketing edge too.

It’s being published later this month but here’s a preview, just for you.
